Top selling bikes in europe

Don't know if this has been posted before but here are the europe-wide bike sales for 2006 - top 5:

1. Yamaha FZ6 Fazer/FZ6 - 26,015
2. BMW R1200GS - 12,854
3. Kawasaki Z750 - 12,309
4. Suzuki Bandit 650 - 11,320
5. Honda 600 Hornet - 10,904

Oh look what's number 1. Thing is it doesn't even appear on the UK list, it's everyone else who buys them....:rockon:

That's great. Funny thing is in my city I've only seen another FZ6 once all last summer... there are some FZ1s...sometimes it's neat having something different and other times it would be nice to ride with other FZs.

I've been thinking about this for four years. Now that I find one, an 07, in the Bowling Green area, it's getting too cold to ride. Ha, wait till next year.......

People in the UK tend to buy bikes just for recreation rather than commuting. This means sales are quite low and tend towards sports bikes; Fireblades GSXR600s and the likes. BMW adventure bikes also seem to appeal because of Charlie and Ewan's efforts.

Mine may not be blue by next year. I am thinking white after seeing buggerlugs avatar. I have always loved black, but, I like white too. That looks sharp as they come right there.

That's a lot of sales for the FZ6 in Europe. Easily the best selling bike I've owned looking at those numbers.

A white FZ6? Looks good in my mind.... Is that one level faster than blue?
