ProGrip Rim Tape with 3M applicator

I recently purchased the above reflective tape and wonder if anyone here has applied it. Question I have is how you managed to feed and stick the tape on the rims. I want to ensure the finished look is even and clean. My previous attempts were as not as clean as I hoped for.

Thank god i'm not the only one wondering how to get this to look really good, i mean it says to use a pencil and hold your hand still while spinning the tire then to only apply 3 inches at a time but i really don't trust my hands to sit still

yeah, I just did the best I could. Be patient, and take your time with it. And just go ahead and admit to yourself now that it won't be perfect, and that it's ok if it's not. Mine's not even, but you can't really tell unless you're looking at it for more than a few seconds......and I've got to be sitting still for that, which almost never happens! brrrrrrrrrrrrrweeeevrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!! (wheelie sound-effect)

That's some precision work there. Do you have those instructions online?

the applicator they provide didn't work to well for me and well... my rim stickers are not so concentric, especially up close. But from a distance they look fine. Do small sections at a time. It took me about an hour to finish both rims. For best results, I think the precurved rim stickers are probably the best way to go.

I purchased exactly what you have, and found the applicator impossible to use, ended up doing it manually. Looked pretty decent, but then two days later they started creasing, and lifting. Must of stretched them too much when applying.

Anyway, mine ended up coming off, and i replaced them with a different brand, which i cannot remember the name of for the life of me now.

The applicator that came with these was also diabolical to use, once again i did them by hand...up close, they are a little rough, but from anywhere from 3ft back, they look great...and these ones have stayed on.
