We Adopted Luey!

Well after I moved out for a few months I thought it was time to have a companion. I wanted to save an animal, so I looked into adopting a dog at Open Door Animal Sanctuary. However, I have never had a dog in my life....sad isn't it? My parents would never let me have one.

Luey is my 22 week old (what I was told, and this is probably his full size too) Lab-mix and I am very excited to get him a home. My landlord was super cool about not making me pay the 250 deposit down for him. That's a good sign!

It's a bummer I have to wait a week though because they got to come over and do a house/neighborhood inspection so I can't have Luey till next Sunday Anyway I am just so excited!

Also I am wearing my FZ6 Shirt too! lol

Good for you! I too was never aloud one till being on my own due to brothers allergies. Now I have two!

Awsome you will love it im sure ive owned quite a few dogs over the years and couldnt stand to not have one I recently got a jack russle terrior out of a rescue and wow named rowdy, very appropriately named he is 10 lbs of dynamite

Dogs R Awesome! Good for you! Unlike people, he'll be happy to see you every day even if left all alone in the garage. Be respectful in you're teachings and you will be rewarded! :thumbup:

Humper, let us not forget the cool things they choose to roll on which leads to washing them in the tub! haha ya, did the dog bath thing yesterday but not for rolling reasons.

Im sure it will I would personally use this time to "puppy proof " your place its amazing the things that they will get into, things that you frogot you had or stuff that you didnt think would be bothered by him are the items I would go for first
