Hi,

I got hold of the new style Handlebar Clamp with the Yamaha sign on it from a 2008 FZ6 Fazer S2.
I have a 2006 S1 version. Will this new all in one clamp just replace the old-style clamps? Anything I should be aware of? Thanks

Sure will. Put one on my 2005 S1 a few years ago. Manual says tighten front first, then rear. 23 NM of torque and remember to turn bars full left and full right before torqueing to make sure there is no interference.

You should be able to use your top clamp with any riser. You'll just need to get different length bolts to fit correctly.

.

So I was unable to use the OEM bolts for the Yamaha clamp and in a sense damaged the threads of the ZETA 7/offset risers. Even though the bolts work freely in the threads without the clamp. I think there is a little bit of a angle. I tried and it gets to hard to torque that the bolt heads started to round so I stopped. Right now I have them on with the bolts that came with it. I may try to send them back, but my bars are on. just wish. I wonder if it's the position of the bar a little I wonder if I need to turn them a little. But at this point I really wrecked the threads of the risers. OEM bolt threads seem fine. ANd the ones I tried matching up at a hardware store would not work.

I still have the oem, so I may change it back after my trip this summer back to stock.

Not sure. But all the other upgrades I bought turned out great.
