Looking to meet up with someone who has experience doing throttle body synch's, and get my fueling squared away. Other than my appreciation we could work something out.

This seems cyclical, only hoping there may be some new faces... Also if someone (who said they could do it) monkeyed with cyl 1 while doing the previous synch, how would I find where it was from the factory?

Then why was I told NEVER to touch the first cylinder, and to adjust around it? Something about setting 1 to "factory spec"?
Not being snarky, just trying to clarify.

What I think is that they are trying to put a little structure to the process. By identifying a target, you can strive to make 2-4 the same as 1. If they allowed you to turn EVERYTHING, you would be there all day. As stated, the goal is to get them close to the same, assuming that #1 is not WAY out of spec. There is nothing magic about #1, it is just as likely to get out of spec as the others.

I think the key is to have them all the same and close to 29kPa at idle.

Now, the one thing you should NEVER do is cross the streams!!!! (Ghostbusters)

I believe (not 100% positive) a ball park setting is about 1 turn out from fully seated for #1.

As noted above, you want to get all cylinders as close as possible. Factory spec's allow for 10. You should be able to get within 3.

I'd also suggest re-syncing at 4K RPMs (no higher) to help eliminate most vibes. You'll find at 4K they'll be synced as well at idle...

My last sync after a valve adjustment (26,600 miles):
