Where are you putting your foot in relation to the peg? I put the footpeg in the arch in my shoe and my big toe is nowhere near the lever.

I wear 14 Extra wide and the shift knob is on top of my foot not at my toe and I have trouble downshifting since I cant get my foot high enough without coming off the peg

So on my center stand its 1/4 inch above the hash marks, on the side stand its right in the middle of the marks? So I am overfull? I haven't done an oil change since I bought it but I am going to here very soon before I store it for the winter.

I just read a post on changing the oil but it still didn't directly state my answer. For Checking not Changing do you check the dipstick with it on side stand or center stand?

So from 1 3/8 I adjusted it to 1 7/8 which gives it that room to stretch in the first few miles. No more whining, just slight transmission noise. Going to do an oil change soon anyways. Thanks guys!

2007 FZ6 25,000 miles So I noticed tonight coming home from work that everytime I take off from a light I get a nasty grinding clunking noise, none of this has to do with the normal chain noises and its not shifting noise. It is real bad in 1st and only in low RPM in 2nd as far as I can tell...
