    Oil Filter Wrench Slippage

This is one of their factory workers - photo taken while he was on a break: . To get mine off I punched a long screwdriver through it and still had difficulty twisting it lose - don't mention the mess this technique makes - argh! .

Okay to Delay 600 Mile Maintenance?

I noticed better shifting after changing the oil. Also, the stuff that came out of it seemed "thick" and nasty green. Although I warmed it up before draining and I let it drain for at least 20 minutes, I think I'll change the oil again in another 1000 miles. This bike is exceeding my...

Okay to Delay 600 Mile Maintenance?

Thank you everyone. Rather than search for a place that sells kerosene and getting a container to put it in (to clean my chain) I purchased a can of chain cleaner (stupid, probably) and also got a Yamaha filter, Kawasaki 10W-30, and Motul Chain lube. I'll do that stuff in the morning...

Okay to Delay 600 Mile Maintenance?

Thanks - I'll get the oil filter, oil and some chain lube. Anyone recommend oil and chain lube? I read the thread about oil filters - good info. Should I go with synthetic? I've never used synthetic oil before and I was told once you try it you shouldn't go back to "regular" oil. I plan...

Okay to Delay 600 Mile Maintenance?

Hey, I am going to the mountains this weekend and I will put ~250 miles on my machine. It has 550 on it now and I don't have time to take it to the shop. I am capable of getting the oil, oil filter, kerosene and chain lube. I know how to change the oil and clean, lube and adjust the...

Wanna buy a Honda RC30...BUY IT NOW for only $100,000

If I had (1) tons of money and (2) a terminal disease that (3) allowed me to still ride hard, it'd be in my garage. I love that bike - "old tech" and all, it's a great machine. I've seen many at the track but I've never ridden one. Way overpriced.

    Site outage

Who's going to pay my psychotherapist bill? I had to contact her and schedule an appointment because of my FZ6-Forum withdrawal. Whew, glad the forum is up and running again. Happy, safe riding, GT

    GreenToaster Interview

Ooops - I just realized I got an '07, not an '08. According to Wikipedia, there's not much difference - still hope this is a good deal - OTD for $6999?

    GreenToaster Interview

Well, long story short - I was wrong. During our phone conversation, the dealer and I were discussing '08's and '09's and I thought he quoted me a price on the '09. So, I was pretty surprised when I got to the showroom and saw this one - the '08. I like the color much more than the dark blue...

    Newbie Introduction

I will be picking up my '09 blue FZ6 on Friday morning - can hardly wait. I am really surprised there's an r/c forum here which is great, and hope I can contribute in a positive way. During the last six months, I've been flying one of these and I absolutely love it: SuperFly RC - Durable...

    GreenToaster Interview

Yes - that's not a problem. I'm going to pick up a Shoei RF1000 and a good vented leather two piece. I'll shop for 45 size boots on eBay - will need some decent gloves as the only ones I have left are those cheapo Olympus ones which are good for what, four or five inches during a slide before...
