Hey Bill
I got my time-sert kit in the mail today so a friend of mine will come over to help me out with taking the oil pan off. Once we are done we will bring the oil pan to the garage that belongs to the motorsport's club in my (ex) university
They have a drill press so we will use that and if all goes well I'll have the pan fixed tomorrow afternoon. The only problem I have is that my oil pan gasket hasn't arrived yet (ordered from boats.net) so I'll have to wait some more before I can put the pan back on. The alternative is to just do the drilling without removing the oil pan but as much as I wanna ride my bike ASAP I don't wanna risk screwing up the engine so might as well do it right.
If something goes wrong I'll just get a new oil pan and be done with this once and for all. Hopefully I won't have to resort to that
