    Time for new tires(or tyres)!!

I don't understand how you guys get such mileage out of tyres. Battlax lasted 4k, pr3's did 5k, pr4's 5.5k, and that's considered pretty average over here?

    Any tips for HID installation?

Sick and tired of not being able to see at night, so I've ordered a (decent) HID kit for the bike - anyone who's done this conversion got any tips for me? Any major pitfalls to avoid? Anything to make it easy peasy? Ta muchly :)

    Is it my imagination.....

Funny, I've always thought the bike was smoother with a full tank, which may well be more down to noise than anything else. I guess a full tank would either absorb or deflect noise better than an empty one, or maybe it acts as an echo chamber when empty?

Technology - thoughts on Autonomous vehicles

When there are still great swathes of the world without drinking water or sanitation, I really do think we're concentrating our efforts on the wrong things. Every car already has a magnificent computer on board, if only drivers would use it.

Have you had your money's worth?

Nope, more revs and it skips (which is what made me have a looksee). Amazingly, the chain and rear sprocket still have life in them, although I've ordered the set. God bless scottoiler :)

Have you had your money's worth?

Well, the bike's on 29k miles, 19k of which under me, and I have never touched it, so I'm guessing 29k!

Biker teaches lady rules of the road

Fair point, although I might call it "assertive" rather than "aggressive" - the merge was clear from a distance, it would have been no hassle to overtake the lorry before it even started to merge

Biker teaches lady rules of the road

Given the options of a) gently applying a bit of throttle to get in her range of vision ahead of her b) making a terrible fuss in order to get between a big lorry and a driver who's clearly not paying attention c) gently throttling back and tucking in behind her, where I can keep an eye on her...

    So I bought this, yesterday...

Nice! Only one really important question - how far is it from an international airport? ;p

Front sprocket and nut part numbers?

Brilliant, thank you! Really weird, chain and rear sprocket are fine, front sprocket is completely buggered
