Like a few people here Im still on the OEM's having covered just 3000 miles in 10 weeks from new. Been touring across Europe, A and B road scratching in the UK and wet weather riding too and have to say that these days most reasonable tyres will out perform the bike anyway. When the time comes I...
Oh my god where do I start. I started riding in 1976 so might be easier to say what I have not ridden ;) I have to say though that the biggest disappointment was my 2007 Hayabusa. I bloody hated it, I know it goes totally against what every report seems to say but I found it uncomfortable, heavy...
Fitted a new Sat Nav mount and holder. Have attached a couple of pics. Its the RAM-B-149z with ARKON Waterproof Case. Comes with packing so it fits most Sat Navs and holds it really securely. It has a ball mount on both the bar section and the case mount so its pretty much infinitely variable...
Well I have to say I was a little concerned initially having only just bought the FZ6, that a 1500 mile trip in a week may have been too much. How wrong I was. Loaded with a 47 ltr Top box and soft side luggage (must have weighed a bloody ton;) ) I set off. Having fitted the Yamaha Comfort seat...
I bought one and love it :cheer: Its much comfier than the standard seat. Have done 400 mile trips with no problem and am off touring France in 2 weeks knowing it will be fuel stops only and not needing to stop every hour so ease my sore rear
I find the standard seat a bit too uncomfortable after being in the saddle for more than an hour or so. I dont have the money for a Corbin or Baglux but have seen a Genuine Yamaha Gel seat new and complete with front and rear pads for £150, that's well under half the price of the Corbin and...
Thanks for all the help guys I will go down the lead shot route as it seems to be the popular choice. Thanks for the Tyre tip Twitch, I checked it but its all Ok with pressure spot on so I have to guess that as all was well before the Renthals it must be the bars.
Thanks Again
Phil
Hi All
Fitted a set of medium Renthals with the heaviest weight bar ends I could get. The standard bars were a bit to swept back and narrow for me, but I noticed how heavy the standard bars ends are which is why I bought the heaviest replacements I could get. The new bars are lovely and the...
I have an Arai Chaser and wind noise is bad I also have a Shoei Z1 (old but still a good helmet) and that's no better :( I fitted an MRA vario screen to see if that made a difference and to be honest it did but not as much as I would have liked. MCN (here in the UK) did an article on helmets and...
Wow that's huge and would obviously do the job but I fitted the MRA Vario and found it to be very good. Easy fit, well made and adjustable too. And slightly less, errrrrm, shall I say, "obvious" :o
