Just so I understand correctly this would not affect Japanese made motorcycles, only Euro brands? I've been waiting impatiently for the new Yamaha T7 to come to the U.S.
Michael, I believe what you're looking for is a quick turn throttle (also referred to as a 1/4 turn throttle). I have done this mod on other bikes I've owned in the past as I like the faster response a quick turn throttle provides. As mentioned above, G2 Ergonomics https://www.g2ergo.com/ is one...
One last option if there's concern about the nut being on the inside of the rim. They have them in 90 & 45 degree angles.

Your post was a reminder for me to get some. The link I put up was just for reference. After doing a little research their are two different sizes, 8.3mm and 11.3mm. Going off the info in this ebay sellers link...
Now would be a good time to upgrade them with these (or ones similar).

It's the little things like this that disappoint me with the big four from Japan. My Triumph and KTM came from the factory with things like right...
I am shocked that a city in the Pacific Northwest was first in the survey (especially given the climate). What I also found shocking was not one of the cities listed was in California? Nice weather + legal lane splitting should equate to a lot of motorcycle commuters I would think. The pool of...

Just curious if you have any clearance issues with the 190/55 rubbing/hitting the inner fender, chain or swing arm? It looks like there's enough room in there but figured it might be close.
If the tire is in good shape (no cracks, cupping), isn't at/near the wear bar, rock hard and not old (I read tire manufactures suggest replacing tires that are more than six years old) then you should be fine. It's common for some tires to wear at a ratio of two rear tires to one front tire.
If you have a Cycle Gear store in the area they will change the tires (for a fee) if you bring in your wheels. Pulling the wheels off really isn't that hard to do. The bike has a center stand and the wrench needed for the large nut on the rear wheel is in the tool pouch under the seat. Once the...
For years I've read the praises of Goodyear Pilot Road series tires (PR2 and newer). They seem to be the benchmark tire here in the Pacific Northwest for riders wanting good wet traction and mileage. Another possible option that has piqued my interest is the new Bridgestone Adventurecross AX41S...
A friend of mine (Mike) likes to work on motorcycles as a side job. He commutes on a SV1000 and has over 100K on it. He also has a high compression SV1000 rat bike he built out of his many spares. That bike is a hoot to ride (third gear power wheelies ). I personally don't know a lot...
Came across this thread while looking for something else https://advrider.com/f/threads/low-maintenance-bikes.1271910/ and thought of this thread.
I skimmed through it but post #70 (page 4) caught my attention. I knew the Honda NC's were known to be frugal bikes (good mpg) but the 8K mile valve...
