Found an '04 on Craigslist for a great price! 18K on the odometer. Obvious wreck damage, but nothing too bad. My initial membership/post here yesterday was in panic trying to get the bike running but now after a simple fix, I have some breathing room to browse the forums. Glad to be back on two wheels after a brief hiatus. Even had a visitor stop by while I was taking pics.

Seller didn't even advertise it having a Corbin seat!

TPS sensor has already been replaced after recall. Anything else hiding under the bed I need to know about?

One of the many joys of owning a motorcycle is being able to fix it yourself. Congrats on the bike!

I hope this reply doesn't sound like I am picking on you or your new FZ. I see some things that a new fizzer owner might not know are incorrect assembly or missing parts. I have had the rear of mine apart enough to know the parts blindfolded.

Do you have the side pods?

Do you have the exhaust cover?

Looks like there are some brackets missing that hold the exhaust up?

There should be a another support under the exhaust too....

Is the top of the front brake fluid reservoir discolored?

Do you have the rear hugger?

Can we get a pic from the left side?

Again, I'm not trying to say anything negative about you or your machine just trying to point out things I see that you might not have known are incorrect.

This forum is full of really great people that will help with just about any question you'll ever have!!

Welcome, the FZ6 is a sturdy bike - have 36,000 miles on mine. Yup there is some obvious crash damage or at least looks like they dropped it and took the broken parts off but at that price it is a steal. You could affore to spend a few hundred on plastics and still not have overpaid. RonAyers or BikeBandit have the OEM parts. My front faring has a big crack in it from where the original owner dropped it in his driveway. He had glued it back together but that has come apart so I need to get the epoxy out or buy a new one - looked and BikeBandit has it for $98. Not cheap but not too much either.

Search is your friend and if you can't find something post up and someone will know what or how to do.
