Hi All,
I am now the proud owner of a 1988 FZ600. The bike is in fairly rough shape as the previous owner didn't really know what they wanted to do with the bike. So now it's a half-painted semi-streetfighter.
However, I want to turn the bike back to it's original roots with the full fairings and decals. I'm wondering if anyone has any alternate resources for these items?
So far I have found a single source for fairings (airtech-streamlining.com) and decals (rddecals.com).
But there's other things I would like to do to the bike, like upgrade the exhaust (the header pipes are have a lot of surface rust on them) and possibly move to LED lighting. Are there any other vendors that sell body panels, or do I need to hunt around the salvage yards for them?
Now my question is regarding year/model compatibilty. What years could I use on my '88 that would still fit in terms of body panels? Would 86/87 fit? Also, I noticed that the FZR has some nice panels as well - are they compatible with an FZ600?
Any ideas would be most appreciated.
