Take it easy Charlie. I've got an angle.
After a few inquiries about the 4 into 2 exhaust, here a few pics. The brazing looks crappy but it is still holding. The temporary hose clamp is gone. It started out as a R6 header. I cut it off just before the collector. A few pieces of pipe from the local auto part store provided the bends and adaptors. I didn't notice an performance gains or loses. It sure sounds different though. I contacted FosterRad after I ran it for a while (quoted below). I have since checked the plugs numerous times with not noticable difference. Now why did I do it?? Why not. I was bored on a rainy day and just started tinkering.
Greetings,
In all honesty you could have increased the scavaging effect.
Just have a look at the plugs and make sure they are the right color >light Brown. It very light in color you might be running too lean.
Call me if you are running lean and we can suggest some fixes.
I like tinkerers, where would we be without them!
Nice work!
Best!
