I've not shot any motorcycles (I'm strictly a nature buff) but yeah, that'd be the first one I'd grab.Whats your best lens for like motorcycle action shots? maybe the 80-200 2.8?
Cool. are you on the pentax forums? Im SlickYamaha:BLAA:I am part of the Pentax club I have a K-5 with 18-55mm Sigma 3.5-5.6 and 70mm-300mm Sigma 4.5-5.6. Still waiting on the Pentax 18-135mm lens though :/ They reckon before xmas but I doubt it
Still coming to grips with it, it has sooooo many functions !!

Nikon D90 it's a cracking bit of equipment 18-105 kit lens, 55-200mm and a pin sharp Tokina 12-24mm for my underground mining obsession:spank::
55-200mm
What lens was this taken with? any advice on how to get such a nice crisp action shot?
18 to 270?!?! Computer-aided Manufacturing is an incredible thing!
Yep mate thats the one , I think it is still the longest focal range available  And when matched to an APS-C camera like my Canon 500d it equates to approx 400mm
Sensor size increases apparent lens length. It is basically equivalent to taking a picture and then cropping it on your computer. All of the digital "measurements" on the new cameras have a different relationship to each other than the film cameras had.Forgive my ignorance, but how does your sensor size increase lens length? APS-C is used to describe the sensor size in relation to a APS film camera, no? If you mean clarity when cropping post shot, I guess I see your point. If that is all true, I am pretty excited.
The Pentax K-x that Yammaxd and I have have bigger sensors than Canon does.
Sensor size, Pentax K-x, APS-C 23.6 x15.8mm, vs, Canon APS-C 22.3x14.9mm*… :Flip:
That makes me glad I bought the cute little storm trooper camera. :cheer:
Thats nice. I picked up a 18-200mm the other day. It doesnt have the best aperture at 3.5-6.3, but for $189 it cant be beat! Tamron had some great holiday discounts!I just bought myself one of these beauties :cheer:
I will post some shots when it arrives
Nikonians :: The Nikon User Community is a pretty big one, but they use small white type on a black background, and it screws my vision up too much...anyone know of some good forums for Nikon users....im new to the hobby and would like some pointers on getting good shots
