Anyone up for a tour of Tassie!

Really? It's like when you're at school. The boy who used to be mean to you was the boy who liked you....

You all protest too much about Rossi (closet fans)

:popcorn::popcorn:

:scared:

Well, Tassie is getting close :cheer:

Today we bought:

DriRider tank bag for me (24 ltr)

New helmet for Mike - XF-1100 - Firestrike red

New trailer - 8x5 tandem, cage, frame and canvas cover - pick it up on Friday :)

New tyres for me and we're ready to go

Well, I have my new XR1100 lid, jess picks hers up on Monday. We also have our Sena Bluetooth intercom. I have new Alpinestars GP Pro gloves, plus my new leather jacket! Jess still needs her new Sidi boots.

As for the bike, just needs a new set of hoops!

We are actually pretty well sorted...

Jamie, what's the battery life like on the Sena?

Standby time is massive..something like 16 hours, talk time is something like 10 hours....

Plus, it comes with a cigarette lighter charger, and can be charged whilst in use....

takes less than 2 hours to fully charge from empty anyway.

it's the duck's guts...trust me!

Excellent! Can't wait to get it.

Well Mike just picked up the trailer and his new Shoei came in. My 12v power came in. Just waiting for my new jacket and the Sena and we are ready to rock and roll! :steve:

How nice are the new Shoei's????

The XR1000 was impressive, but the 1100 just seems to be just that little bit more sorted...ear pods & wiring channel for intercom speakers, integrated vents, locking visor system, larger area in front of mouth, to accomodate intercom microphone...

When you put the Sena in the XR1100, you dont even know you have it on...cant feel the speakers, or the microphone...unless you have a ZZtop beard like Mikey!

:D

Gotta say, I'm very jealous of his new lid :(

I love my XF-1000, but his 1100 has more vents, has the moulded lip at the back rather than the "clip on" that mine has and I love the visor.

His doesn't have butterflies on it though

Well, I'm not over the moon.

Mikes 1100 helmet has recesses in for ear piece. My 1000 doesn't. I now have a very sore left ear as it rubs on my ear as I'm taking my lid off.

Mind you, I'm not well today. Maybe I don't have the patience for it today.

I'll try again tomorrow :)

Well Mike is impressed with the Sena. He's used it yesterday and today going to work and music plays great.

Helmet to helmet was pretty good, but I was in the house, Mike out by the shed :)

His new 1100 lid looks great, but he is complaining that it is a little noisy. Just a bit of a comedown from his X-11, but he'll get used to it. He'll soon have me in his ear. He'll appreciate the helmet noise then :BLAA: It is very comfortable.

Just my Teknic jacket to come :) (and clutch lube (Chemiker), and new Givi lock for Mike - he had broken a key, and new trailer lock - gotta protect those bikes when staying long the Nullabor -and my new tank pad) THEN we are ready for our epic trip.

I will call you guys over the weekend, so we can confirm a few things.

E X C I T E D.....

Very E X C I T E D....
