Buying a used 2007 FZ6 with 40k miles

All fz6's in the states have ~90hpish overseas there are detuned models of the same bike. Fz6r is a entirely different bike that shares most of the engine.

But reading this thread really make me quite confident I will NEVER be able to sell my fz unless I ask $500 for it or less seeing how I'm gonna be hitting 40k soon.

Y no Love for Hi mile Bike?!?!

The only bikes I see that sell with more than 40k miles are BMW's, FJR's, VFR's, and sometimes a V-Strom. When I buy a bike, I need to be willing to lose $1K of value for each year I own it, under most circumstances. That is my rule of thumb, until it gets down to between $1500 and $2000, then it's just OBO.

Because the pond is full of fish with much less miles for just a bit more cost.

So many people buy a motorcycle and only ride it on the weekends or lose interest and just leave it in the garage before finally parting with it. This time of year as riding season slows down I can literally find 50 sport bikes a day on CL with <10K miles selling for less than 50% of the original purchase price.
