Ceramic coating the downpipes

I don't really have too many specific details, cause I didn't actually perform the operation myself. I bought my bike from the original owner about three months ago and he had the exhaust powder coated himself. I can say that about 12,000 miles later, I have the bike, and the pipes look like they were powder coated yesterday. Not a scratch, fade or even rock chip. He did tell me that he had two coats put on.
Good luck, Mike

The great thing about powder coat is after it cures you cannot scratch or chip it. I have my rims done in a red metalic and after 7000 miles nothing is wrong with them at all. I use windex to shine them up really nice. Nothin sticks to them at all. Have to love the powder coat. Also I know of a shop that will do our pipes in flat black for $150. He puts the powder on there that is good up to 1000 degrees so no worries on that.
