So, you think plug a voltmeter into my charging harness and hook it up so I can read it realtime while I'm on the interstate? What should it be reading around 70mph?

Max volts should be around 14, 14.2 volts or so.

If you bike is faired, I bungied my voltmeter to the top of the left side fairing (over the horizontal, black inner fairing). Wrapped the bungie (with rags so as not to scratch) around the fairing (and voltmeter) just ahead of the tank. Pretty sturdy. Duct tape would work too but the clean up may be a mess..

Looks like the codes that are flashing are abnormal power supply (46) and crank shaft position sensor signal (12). So again I would test to see if there is over/under voltage and then seek out the other CPS error which may be due to poor supply voltage.
A nominal 14 volts is normal once the battery is fully charged and you are running hiway rpm. I've seen runaway charging systems cook batteries where the voltage was 17 volts and I could smell the chemicals boiling out of the battery. This means you should check your battery for possible physical damage.

Check the pins on the plug to the regulator/rectifier.

As with many procedures when working with mechanical or electrical, wear safety eye ware! :)

Along the way some information was corrected for the FZ6 as it looks like the this info came from an R6 posting as it lists actual Cylinder Identification and cylinders 1, #2, #3, #4 vs our Waste spark and Batch/group Injection....
33 - Malfunction detected in the primary wire of the ignition coil (#1 and #4). FZ6
34 - Malfunction detected in the primary wire of the ignition coil (#2 and #3). FZ6
35 • Open circuit detected in the primary lead of the cylinder #3 ignition coil. R6
36 • Open circuit detected in the primary lead of the cylinder #4 ignition coil. R6
