I broke the little plastic piece for the switch that's on the clutch lever. See picture #7 / part #3YX-82917-01-00. Does anyone know what the switch does?

I've been able to super glue the little plastic button back onto the switch, but if worse comes to worse, I'll buy another one.

It won't let you start the bike in gear unless the clutch is pulled in.

With the switch broken, you'll have to put the bike in neutral to start it. No biggie.

I'd say spend the $0 and just cut the switch out and wire the circuit to be permanently closed. Just make sure you remember to pull the clutch in when you go to start the bike (if it's in gear). I did this when I swapped out my clutch lever assembly and haven't had any issues since.
