alright, since the cat is out of the bag i figured i'd make the build thread.

john helped me with the forks, swinger & tail - and im infinitely in his debt

some teaser pics to get the party started

i still have A LOT of work to do! brakes, lines, rearsets, find a speedo, wire the headlight/signals/tail, hide the relays/rectifier, license plate, sprockets/chain, paint, get exhaust shortened/welded

im sure im forgetting something

What year fz6 are you working on? Looks awesome! I've been thinking of doing damn near the same thing to my 05. Wonder if it would work?

did more work on the tank today, brushed the metal out last night and did a few layers of clear this morning

also cleaned up the headlight s'more

and two of these showed up at my doorstep, ready for some custom paint :Flash:

and some inspiration for the build, by classified moto

Thanks, I love the look. Too bad its steel or I would have left it actually bare... I had to do a clear coat over it (that should prolong the rusting but everywhere I read says rust will come)

Hopefully a hardware rebuild kit would fix the Brembo, as it looks like the piston is trashed more than the nipple.

Sorry mate, I meant the swingarm. It's pretty clear the subframe was one off :BLAA:

So its called the piston? doh. Maybe thats why I can't find anything when searching for nipple. Have a link for me maybe??
