Carnarvon in WA flooded just before Christmas - that's where our bananas come from. River peaked at 6.5m again this morning, not good. Gascoyne area is a mess.
As for mangoes from Queensland - they were $2 before Christmas - now $6!
A lot of farmers have lost their crops this year. As well as their suffering, prices around the rest of the country skyrocket too
They are predicting prices to quadruple. A lot of crops from Carnarvon - pumpkins etc.
I feel for these people. It must be heartbreaking.
