I'm about to fit a power commander, decat pipe and a modified stock exhaust with the innards taken out and bigger tailpipes. I'm going to do a few more track days and because I never get it flat out in top gear I'm thinking of taking a tooth off the front sprocket (or whatever our American friends call them) and wonder if the R6 front sprocket is the same as the FZ6 one, I've found a couple of shops in the UK who stock R6 sprockets but don't list anything for the FZ.
Does anyone know if it's the same?

Hey the R6 has the same spline mount but may be diff pitch the fz6 is a 530 the R6 may be a 520. I have a vortec 15t on my fz6. It was listed to fit R6 fz6 Fz1 R1 with 530 pitch.

I went down 1 tooth in the front - bought a sprocket by JT sprockets - was a reasonable price and is excellent quality.

You won't regret -1 in the front - quick acceleration - fantastic
