what needs to be drilled to make it work on an fz6? Interested in it?

There is a small "nipple" :D inside one of the handlebar control casings. It prevents the unit
from rotating. You could break it off instead of drilling a hole for it in the handlebar.
As long as the phillip screws are tight, it shouldn't rotate regardless.
I drilled the hole on my fz1 bars tho. Only took a min..

I took the little tab off, and there was no need to drill anything. If you drill, make sure you get it in the right spot, or you'll have deal with the bar ends.

I cut the tab off with a dremel tool when I did my bar conversion. I am glad that I did. I am switching to bar end mirrors, I had to move my throttle assembly a little to get them to fit right. No new hole needed, no drill required.

The clutch side has the hole in the right spot for the FZ6 control, the throttle side doesn't. However, if you want to adjust the controls' positions it's better to remove the tabs.

And if you can't get the screws tight enough, just a single wrap of electrical tape under the control housing will keep it from moving. Unless you're wrenching on the grips or something.
