Does anyone on here have a FZ6R, i got back to Regina today and went to look at a new one.

Kinda surprised to find out that it is a totally different bike, shares the name but thats about it.

So a few quick questions, for the owners of them:

How do you find the power on them ?

Is the power all bottomend or is more to the middle like my old bike :( ?

I would assume that the handling is the same but is there a difference ?

um all i have for now.

My buddy has one and I rode it once. The gearbox is smoother and the clutch felt lighter. I couldn't get used to the seat either since I am a fat arse. The exhaust sounds ok, but the underseat on the Z sounds better.

As far as torque is concerned it generates it's peak torque lower in the rev range, but only by 500 revs or so. I seem to remember that as far as total torque is concerned there isn't a big difference in the actual numbers. The 6R also red lines at 12k or so instead of the FZ6s 14k.

Torque starts very early on the ZR and feels like it signs off far too early. They are very different bikes. Worth a test ride if you're curious.

Around town and as a commuter-only, they're absolutely sensational. IMO if you're a faster rider and like to lean it over through turns, you'll find its limits very quickly though.
