Don`t know if this is really the right section but i wish to add a couple fangs to to the front of my helmet .
At the moment its kind of a tribal design on a white helmet but the front looks almost skull like .... therefore just wondered what is a safe sticker type to add to helmets ?

i was always told you should never add stickers to your lid,
by whom?
once they are waterproof and applied to a pre-cleaned section,
but make sure to remove air bubbles
and do not place on visor or covering a vent
but once proper preparation is used, the stickers will stay in place.
but always pre-measure to get 2 stickers such as horns
so that they are visually level
personally i think the horns will look good
and i am thinking of getting something similar

I was told the same but I can't see a sticker really being an issue on a helmet if you know the helmet is in good condition. It might be a good idea to avoid buying a used helmet with stickers since you cannot see anything they could be hiding.

personally i would never even consider buying a used lid because of
(1)safety
(2)hygiene
(3)price of lids is great that very safe helmets can be purchased at rock bottom prices because of over supply in these economic times
(4)new lids come with warranties and safety guarantees
(5)the helmet is a lifesaver
so yes stickers can make cheaper lids more appealing (pardon the pun):)

I can't see any harm in adding reflective tape or stickers that might increase your visibility. Removing them if you change your mind might be a PITA and damage the helmet shell, however.

Just don't cover up or remove safety standard stickers ("DOT" in the USA) if required by law in your region.

Agreed. I have never bought a used helmet; I was trying to remember why I was told not to put stickers on one.
