Hey all you all you South Aussie FZ6 riders, who's interested in getting together for a ride?

Now i just spoke to Ozzieboy, and he has put his hand up to cook us Breakfast before we head out!!!! So if you want Breakfast, i reckon you wanna be at Mikey's at 9am.

Dunno what's cooking for Brekky, that's Mikey's deal, but i do reckon i know where we will be riding....down past Second Valley, and onto Victor Harbor via the D road...then maybe back to my joint for a quick beer, via Strath, and Bull Creek road.

For those who dont have Foxtel, and wanna stick around at my house after the ride, and watch the WSBK & Moto GP from this weekend, which i will have taped, you are all more than welcome too....the beer is always cold at my joint!

The ride itself, should take us 3-4 hours.

Would love to see as many of you SA boys as possible jump onboard for this one...I know i will be there, will drag Matty & Gazza, kicking & screaming, if i have to, and will also contact Leo (Busa, or ZXR750), Alex (Ducati 996), Rob (ZX6R), Corbo (ZX9), and a couple of other boys i know from work....old Z900, and new ZX14.....

Am thinking that if you are going to come you better PM mikey for his address!

Sorry mate. Bit slow on the uptake lately....Bring it on guys. Get your RSVP's in so I can grab some victuals...lol...I'm single so I don't keep food in the house:eek:...LMAO. Just your standard fare...snags, tommies, bacon, eggs, skinheads on a raft....that sorta thing.:thumbup:

Yeah, i am with you Mike...have only done 11000km's since January 01....not nervous, just slack in posting!

Did you guys hear of a motorcyclist caught in a 5 car pile up in the tunnels a few weeks back?

If so that was me!

Actually rode away from the accident and on to work. They sent me home to see a doctor..so back on the bike home again.

Insurance co. wrote the gpx off and so I had to get another bike. Took a secondhand FZ6N for a test ride and was giggling all the way back to the dealership. Pick up a spanking new one Monday.

Previously posting on ridingsa but dont feel right at home there.

Also if any of you ride in the hills be careful. A truck spilt diesel from mount barker to bridgewater (possibly further) on the back roads and with it being wet this weekend you wont see it coming.

Hey Jay, welcome mate. I'm Stumbles from RSA too, haven't posted there for a while, things going weird over there.

I don't think I've met you yet though, hopefully the missus lets me out and we can catch up.

yeah only went on one ride with them and was disappointed in the enjoyment of it. The group was lead well tho and organised but I was expecting a bit more "fun".

This is why I never met many over there at RSA as id prefer to ride alone than go through that again.

Anywayz that's enough about RSA. Im hoping to make a new home here instead and with the new bike I hope to learn from your experiences and stories.

Sad to hear of your 'off' but happy to see you chose an FZ6 to get on with the business of riding:thumbup:.

I'm FZ6Posterboy over at RSA and Mike on RealRiders. Only been on a couple rides with RSA (too soft for me) and one with RR ( a touch more than I like to go normally...fun though...LMAO) Most of us are nudging 40 or worse...lol... and have a bit of experience, so rides are casual but brisk through the twisties for the most part.

Thanks for the heads up on road conditions. Just been scrubbing in my new rear in the hills and there is gravel over the road in places along Piggot Range Road, and through to Clarendon and of the Coro Valley. Be very careful guys.:thumbup:

Was pissed about the accident. Just did a full service on the GPX including replacing the bearings and servicing the swingarm just a few weeks prior.

But hey...90kms to 0 and I came off ok.

Whoops, just saw this post....Woo Hoo, another FZ6N rider.....Naked's rock! Mate if you need any help with your new ride, just scream, am always happy to help...and i have a veritable FZ6 supermarket at my joint!

What colour is the bike, what year, etc.....and............

It is an 08 and is Black as the ace of spades. Will have pics on Monday if I decide to stop riding it before the sun goes down. :P

Will be interested in a small screen due to commute to and from work actually maybe you can help me with recommending one.

Also would like to see your mod with the wind deflectors as that sound interesting as well.

Don't think I need the grip warmers. Went all last season without even thermal liners and didn't freeze. Guess the 20 years of been in the hills has acclimatised me lol.

But yeah will need to meet for sure sometime very soon.
