Lane splitting/filtering videos

Disclaimer: this is legal in the UK, though a slight grey area. I didn't set out to make this, I just happened to get stuck in some traffic on the way to my friend's house, so don't expect this to be textbook perfect. :thumbup:

Isn't that an Fz6 at 4:31? That biker looks so like me during peak hours - stuck behind traffic and not lane splitting while other bikers whizz past me.

And for the rider who is lane splitting - this is way beyond the level of concentration that I can ever think of!!!

Now, on the topic of lane splitting in general, and the dislike of it by so many cage-drivers in particular, I just don't get it...I would bet anything the majority of drivers - if they *could* maneuver their cages in such a way as to better move through traffic - would...and DO, when the space IS available.

It drives me nuts the stupid things I see drivers do regularly in the name of shaving a few minutes off their drive-time - most blatantly contrary to the "anticipated" behavior of motorists (overtaking on the right in the U.S., for example), if not illegal (who says I can't run 1/4-mile down the striped median to make my left-hand-turn if traffic is inconveniencing me?)

Yet, object to proper lane-splitting (which is fundamentally just using available space for its intended purpose) because you might feel cheated somehow?

Please...
