Sorry for the delay everyone. The long awaited May Hunt is here. The rules are basic.
  • Every pic has your bike in it
  • Every pic has to be taken AFTER the hunt has been issued
  • All pics need to be posted by midnight EST on the 31st
  • Pics can be all in one post (preferable) or spread out over the thread
  • If needed, creativity may be a consideration in deciding the winner

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!
Before I list the hunt item I have a special announcement. We have a prize for the winner this month. FAZR6 is donating a set of swingarm decals to the winner of this months hunt. See this thread if you're not familiar with them. When the hunt is over and the winner is crowned you can contact FAZR6 to work out the details.

Now onto the Hunt!

This month is a play on holidays. In a hope to make this more international I contacted some members around the world to find out about holidays that are important to their country/region of the world. Here is what has been come up with.

1. Mother's Day
A pic with a mom and her child(ren)
(bonus points if it's your mom)
{not the owner of the bike}

2. Cinco de Mayo
A pic with a Mexican Beer
or
In front of your favorite Mexican restaurant

3. Victoria Day
A pic with something Royal

4. Anzac/Memorial/Veterans Day
A pic with something that represents/honors your military

5. Country's Independence/Birth Day
A pic with your countries Flag

6. Father's Day
A pic with a dad and his child(ren)
(bonus points if it's your dad)
{not the owner of the bike}

Creativity Pics
Get creative and find things that represent these holidays.
7. St. Patrick's Day
8. Easter
9. Labor Day
10. Ramadan

Here we go people! Let's get this ball rolling.

In no particular order...

dp_110505_01.jpg

A mexican restaurant, The 3 Amigos..., Cinco de Mayo today!

Victoria Day is just around the corner for us Canadians on May 23rd. This city park is named after the very same Queen Victoria.

Where else would you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? At one of our fine local Irish pubs of course.

Before today, I didn't even know this existed. A War Memorial set up in downtown Edmonton. Thank you to all our soldiers and allies for protecting our freedom. Wow, who would have thought a Scavenger Hunt would also be educational. Thanks Dean!

call is labor day... may day... worker's day... labour day... whatever you will.

believe it or not, my inclusion of labor day stemmed from looking for a south african holiday for the hunt that would be somewhat possible to do internationally. y'all have some unique ones down there... just wasn't sure how they'd translate to everyone else.

I'm heading out to take some pics today, does it still count if we have more than one subject in the same pic? Mom and dad, flag, bottle of Mexican beer, Easter egg, there's 5 in one :spank:

sorry i didn't get to your question earlier. my thought was a pic per item. since i didn't state it at the start i'll accept mulit-item pics IF they've been taken before the posting of this response. but from here on out no multi-item pics.

btw, pretty excited because my mom lives about 4 hours away. any my parents are split (dad works in the gulf) so i didn't expect to be able to get them when i put the challenge up. just so happens that i was able to swing by my mom's on the way back from maine... and my dad happened to be in town with a friend. two pics down. the others are going to get taken this week.

2) Mexican Resturant
3) this is the only thing I could find that was "Royal"
4) Memorial Park
5) American Flag

Mine aren't great but I got them in.
1. Mother's Day
Didn't think I'd get this pic. Mom lives 4 hours away but I was able to drop by after my trip to main before I got home.
Mom.jpg

2. Cinco de Mayo
Do love this place
Mex.jpg

3. Victoria Day
Only royal thing I was able to find in the area.
King.jpg

4. Anzac/Memorial/Veterans Day
This is what my dad was given when he retired from the Navy. He entered the Navy as an E1 and after 23 years he retired as an E9 Command Master Chief. The Flag was flown over the our nation's Capital Building.
Memorial.jpg

5. Country's Independence/Birth Day
Flag.jpg

6. Father's Day
Even more of a surprise than my mom. He lives in Arkansas and happened to be in town when I dropped by to see my mom.
Dad.jpg

7. St. Patrick's Day
A boring book about St. Patrick.
Patrick.jpg

8. Easter
I drew a blank here. Wish I could have found some Reese's eggs.
Church.jpg

9. Labor Day
This has nothing to do with what Labor Day is all about... But my wife spent many hours in labor here giving birth to our two girls.
Birth.jpg

10. Ramadan
I had a good one for this one. A week ago I remembered I had a Muslim prayer rug from Indonesia but I wasn't able to get into my ministries storage unit because the treasurer either didn't get the bill or didn't pay it on time. This is as best I can do. Apparently it is the going to be the first Mosque in Chapel Hill... according to their website.
