New guy question

Hi all,

Yesterday I noticed a spot under my bike on the concrete. There's no real color to it, but it looks like it is coming from the drain tube that hangs from the right side of the bike right behind the center stand.

What is this drain tube coming from?

I'm assuming either the battery or the coolant system.

Anyway, just looking for an answer.

Could be from any of the overflow/breather tubes. I wouldn't worry, that's what they're there for.

Hi Jim,

I was wondering the same thing a couple of days ago shortly after I got my bike. Once I saw the tubes, I pretty much guessed that the moisture came from the cooling system on the bike, and what I was seeing was some condensation of sorts.

Funny thing is, I only noticed this while I was trying to find the reserve switch. For those of you reading this, that tells you that it's been a while since I've been riding.

It is usually (on my bike anyway) gasoline that evaporated from the tank and condenses in the line to drip out of the end.... smell it and see what it is.

Ahhhh....i had the same question......dripping fluids scare me

If I leave mine parked in the sun with a full tank of fuel it will burp out the overflow tube like that, might be what you're seeing.

It's from the coolant check your level (coolant) and move the tube more on the right you shoudl be fine.
