Hi everyone!

I am new to Australia, after transferring for work from the United States. I am in Qld, living in Brisbane. I didn't transport my FZ-6 over in my move :( but I did just buy an FZ-1 :D

Just wondering what some good insurance companies are for motorcycle insurance here in Qld.

Thanks in advance

:welcome: to Australia! You will have to join the Brissy boys for a rude.

Try QBE and Swann for insurance.

:welcome: the to forum mate  :steve: another Bris Fizzer :cheer: & just in time for our next ride....

QBE is by far the best insurance company I have found , they are the cheapest I have come across & they have the best cover for your riding gear

Welcome to Australia!

Bad experience Oz?
My mums car is with AAMI and someone hit her, and no one will repair the car once they hear who she is insured with. Apparently AAMI are useless cheapasses and won't pay out to get the work done properly....

I'm with QBE atm, but Swann is meant to be better for young people (price wise) I just found QBE to offer the best cover however (on paper).

Also avoid NRMA at all costs if your insuring a bike. (totally overpriced)
I now avoid them due to their terrible customer service ripping off my grandmother with her car repairs on multiple occasions and refusing to hold to their lifetime repairs warranty, and blackmailing specialist shops to drop statements which put bad repair jobs as the blame for constant problems (with a car).
The cherry on the cake was when I was told by a shop that they had to retract a document they had given me or they would lose their NRMA accreditation.
To be totally honest I'll now pay more to use ANYONE but NRMA. Their whole national pride advertising attempt and continued refusal to represent all road users while abusing their power also really annoys me.

Thanks for the info and warm welcome everyone. So far I am loving it here in Australia. Work keeps me in Brissy half the time, and working out in the field the other half of the time. Most defiantly another Bris Fizzer when work allows
