Went for a ride today to the 'bacco store.
Was riding on a back road to avoid traffic.
Bike coming at me,exchanged how-dos(wave).
Got passed him and thought,
Was that what I think it was?
Turned around, went back to where I saw him turn in.
Flat black, nicely done rattle can paint-job,
Owner came out,I introduced myself.
"Any relation to Deb?"
"Wife"
"I'm married to Snooky,",(old friend of Lil' Lady she hasn't seen in years.)
"I'm Tommy"
"Oh yeah,I remember ya through a smokey haze",mutual laughter!
"We were a little younger then!"
"Yeah, Good Times,Good Times!"
We got to talking bikes.
He liked my Street-fighter job!
I took the fairing off for repairs, was jonesin' to ride sooo,,
I put the headlights back on the stay with the
Running lights bolted to outer-bottom corner of headlights.
Very crude, almost embarrassed to admit it,
But I like it!
His daily rider was a bob-job when he bought it in '78
Said he had a hell of a time findin' original fenders!
It's a '46 Indian Chief,CV carb,ELECTRIC starter!
He'd torn his leg up had to put sarter on.
Breaker-less ignition,nicely done.
Cute little distributor!
Righthand-hand shift,left hand throttle!
We had a smoke and a good conversation.:smoking:
Not every day ya see a old Indian on the road.
Just wish I had my camera with me.:(
Thought it was worth sharing my encounter,
With an old Indian.
Very Cool!
Thanks Tommy!
