I bought ten tomato plants today.

How do I plant them in a total of 5 rows, whilst there must be 4 plants per row?

Draw a 5 pointed star. Place one tomato plant at every point and one plant where the sides intersect.

That was me......but in my defense that was how I originally heard it. In fact we (Boy Scouts) were planting pines at the time and the Scoutmaster, also our math teacher, posed it to us in the field to break up the boredom. Knowing how old I am it seems this one has been around a long time. :thumbup:

We messed around with the seedlings until one of the guys brainstormed it out. Then it was back to the task at hand. There's no star in that plantation as far as I know!
