Radar Detector Hardwire

I think it looks fantastic I want a big ass GPS now.

No it's not waterproof. It's actually for my car but I never use it since I have a Droid with navigation.

I'm not sure if having the radar detector will be that "desensitized" since some people will install it in their dash and in head liners. I know its not the best spot but less likely to fall this way. I will see if I can more it up a little with out losing stability (its a 4 dollar mount from a hardware store). I thougth about buying a nice mount but sick of paying for all the mounts for it. V1 is an expensive product.

Yeah, I looked and couldn't find a lot of large waterproof gps'... Oh well :-(

Depending on the frequencies (and police radars) used in your area the radar detector can still work quite good. The lower the frequency the easier it is to recieve, and then the mounting of the detector is less important, but if they mainly use radars around the Ka band (around 34Ghz) then it is very important.

Today I got hit with K band on my way home from work. The only delay that I noticed was the fact that I couldn't hear it go off. Time for a screamer...

Rino, they make a lot of water tight cases so you can still get a regular GPS and buy a case.

I hardwired the bike to my turn signal like you suggested. Now need to figure out how to mount the radar detector on this new windscreen.
