This question came up on a musician's forum I'm active on, and generated a lot of fun, even heated debate, so let's do it here too!

I actually drink mostly 3.2 beer! Anything stronger and only the state-run liquor stores here in Utah can sell it, and the "sin" tax goes up obscenely; something that costs $6.00/six-pack in the grocery store costs $10.00/six in the full-strength, liquor-store-only version! (being a lightweight has its advantages)

Anyway, my favorite is a beer called Kronenbourg, from the Alsace region of France. This area has shuttled between control of France and Germany over the centuries, which explains its Germanic name. I can't get it here in Utah and its not common elsewhere, haven't had one in ten years or so (if you can get it in your area I'd be happy to come visit, I'll buy! :) )

Otherwise, I love Sam Adams lager, Dos Equus Dark (Mexican), Newcastle Brown Ale, the occasional Guiness, and if I'm feeling flush, Negro Modelo.

What are your favorites?

Favorite? I would have to give the Irish answer... FREE!:D

Now if I am buying, normally Coors Light. Otherwise any ale or stout will do me just fine, I am in love with Black and Tans, Guiness over Bass or Smithwicks:iconbeer:

Top 3 for me, all from CA microbrewers:
1- Russian River Brewing "Pliny the Elder", best IPA I've ever had.
2- Port Brewing "Carlsbad Chronic" amber ale.
3- Stone Brewing "Ruination" IPA

Excuse the "beer snob" tone of this reply. I know these aren't readily available outside of California, but this state has one of the strongest microbrew communities in the country. If I had to pick a single common beer available across throughout the US it would be Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

Oduals!!! because you never know when your going riding!!!;)

You might as well have coke! I know when I'm riding and when I'm not I can enjoy a good beer with friends.

I have a few that I'm fond of:

1. Old Rasputin

2. Young's Double Chocolate Stout

3. Highlands Oatmeal

4. Anything by Sweetwater Brewing Co. (Gotta rep. Georgia!)

Cheers!

Lotsa odd beers here! I think the better question is "What would you order in a bar"? Most of these including my Fave Yeungling aren't available nationwide.

Ah, a question i can really relate too.
Being an avid homebrewer, I tend to drink a lot of my own recipes. Currently I have a damn good oatmeal stout that I'm extremely proud of and a fair/average hefeweizen that needs a bit more tweaking before I start passing out sampler packs.

A few commercial products that I really enjoy:
Milk Stout by Left Hand Brewing (Colorado)
Two Hearted Ale by Bells Brewing (Michigan)
Arrogant Bastard or Dead Guy Ale by Rogue Brewing (Oregon I think)

actually I prefer sprite!!!:D

Favorite would be Coor Light! Yyeungling lager would be a close second though.

Coors light is like making love in a conoe...........f*ucking close to water!

Yeungling...oldest brewery in the US? I drink that stuff when I'm back home in NY.

I've been drinking a lot of Fat Tire lately.

I also like to order a "black & blue" every now and then....half guiness / half blue moon (yes, I know what a black and tan is)

Drank a lot of Busch heavy in college...30 packs were about $11 on the northside

One of my favorites of all time...Spotted Cow which is a Wisconsin microbrew

I like Sierra Nevada's summer ale or summer brew...whatever it's called

Not beer, but Mickey's 40oz are great if you're looking for that.....lol

Motorcycles and beer, two favorite subjects.

1. Old Peculier
2. Breckenridge Avalanche
3. Sam Adams Boston Lager

#1 is from Yorkshire and at $10 a sixpack, not an every day choice.
