Sprocket questions? Need advice.

Can i change just the rear sprocket to +2 and leave the stock chain and front sprocket?
I was thinking a black vortex 48 tooth.

Has anyone esle done this or tried it?

It's not an issue, but doing anything more would require another tooth or 2 for the chain.

If you're going to be doing one, why not just do both. Trust me, the -1/+2 change is spectacular. Also, if you're changing out the sprockets, I'ld change chains too. No need to risk quicker wear patterns on a new sprocket.

there is a drama, as the front sprocket and chain are allready worn to an extent
adding a new rear sprocket will mean that it will wear faster,

the BEST bet is to change the front and rear sprockets with a new chain at the same time
goign to a 520 chain pitch makes a difference as well

i did the conversion and love it. I am pretty sure that the rear sprocket might me thicker and might cause more stress on the chain. With the 520 conversion shipped to the door is like $150, and you could pick the color sprocket and chain color as well.

i went to Ebay and went to fz6 and found the conversion kit there. I think (95% sure) the place was "SUM OF ALL PARTS"
