Should now post on rant thread: NO POWER Power cut since 1am - low was 30'C - still no power. We are rural No power No water No internet No 3G or mobile service (never a signal where we are) NO AIR COND We are NOT happy Just popped out to get a paper and I thought I'd send this....

Oh and the forecast is 41.....

Western Power are taking their time fixing thw power - total fire ban stops them using anything that sparks for repairs

Our power was out for 25 hours........... Then a further 5 hours the next day.

NOT HAPPY - lodged a claim with the power company.

Had to go out and buy a generator, that then leaked oil everywhere.

It could be worse - 52 people lost their houses and 1 person died in the Stoneville/Parkerville fires this week.

Thoughts with them as we have awful conditions coming up this week: +38'C and high winds - recipe for disaster.

So sorry to hear kazza, glad you guys are ok, 30 hours without power that's male cow dung. The weather is crap we had 45 yesterday then thunder storms that set bush fires from the lightning and 45 again today.

I reckon most of us aussies on the forum are experiencing the heat with varying levels of discomfort and annoying occurences. Just keeping the fingers crossed we dont all have the bushfires that swept thru the Perth Hills and likewise for our American and European members, that the ice/snow storms and freezing weather abates real fast.
