Just wanted to give a final update for the forum.
Yesterday, I received the "replacement" seat and it measures exactly as it is supposed to for the long version. So far I like the extra room to move a little forward and back whereas before I felt too squished into the tank without being able to adjust, but it probably has more room than needed. That being said, I probably should have let the gf sit on the old seat first. My favorite pillion has not gotten adjusted to the "bulge" that the backrest position causes for her. And as many know, when the lady isn't comfortable, no one is
I do have to say that while it seems Top Sellerie's quality control has serious flaws, for me at least, they did make good on the sale. It took weeks of emails and tracking shipments, but in the end, I got what I asked/paid for, and they were courteous along the way. YMMV.
