what is the cost of the fairing for a FZ6 2006

Hello to all, I am a new member of this forum. I have own a FZ6 2006 for the past two years. Two weeks ago I slip, fall of my motorcycle and damage the fairing and scratch the sides.
I wonder if you guys have an estimate of the cost to replace the fairing. Also do you know if there is some side bars available for the FZ6 I went to my local dealer and they told me they only have for r6 and r1 but not for Fz6 do you know if this is true?

Good place to get OEM parts new. Also, browse through the forum's for sale section if you would like used items. They come on sale on occasion from people who are doing naked conversions.

Also the fuel display is flashing full and empty, I bet its just a minor repair. the manual says to take it to the local dealer but do not mention what can be the problem. do you have any idea? have this happen to you before?

Greetings, Ari....

Most people here use 'sliders' rather than true engine cases or crash bars. These are long bolts with a nylon puck attached, that hit the ground before the engine and frame do.

Engine crash bars can be mounted; Givi sells a set, and Yamaha has an OEM design which was not sold in the US. Hopefully someone will post up pictures of the options for crash protection.

'04, '05, and '06 parts are interchangeable.... it's a matter of if the parts are colored as to whether they match well or not. For some reason, the parts that are mechanically the same, vary in price by year. It 'pays' to check '04, '05, '06 and see if you can save a little money.....
