What's the best summer/fall protective jacket thats cheap? ($150 or under)

I just received the Fieldsheer jacket...

Ok, How tight is a motorcycle jacket supposed to be? I measured my chest 42" just like it said, etc... The reviews also said that this jacket runs a little big so i figured i really would be safe with a 44 jacket. But it's really snug, not unbearable, but very snug. I'm also 6'2", and the jacket looks really short on me... What do you guys think?

I read those reviews about the jacket running large too, but mine fits very true to size (small if anything). I am a 38-40 (usually 40 for sleeve length) and the size 40 is a perfect fit. I actually wanted a little bit of looseness underneath so I could fit my cooling vest, but there's no room for that. The length seems to be about the same as all my other sport-type jackets (I'm 6'0")

Overall though, I am very impressed with the quality and features of the jacket. That's especially true when you consider the $140 price ...
