When I purchased my bike, I wanted the Yamaha engine guard to protect my baby. I had to special order it so could not see what they were like nor could I find the instruction manual on any web site anywhere. Well, I did finally get them, but returned them earlier this week. It appears that the guard will block the oil filter on the left side :(. This would mean having to remove the guard every time an oil filter change is required. Forget that idea. In the meantime, I'm still looking for some frame sliders that I like and will probably turn it into a winter job. I managed to scan the instructions in case anyone is interested in purchasing one of these. ;)

I had them on mine for the first year. You dont have to take them off to do an oil change, but you need the shorter filter, and it takes a little patience and persuasion.
