Yesterday's gas-up

Ok guys, this is too funny. I read this thread at noon. By 5pm I was at the gas station and what do you think happened?!!

I've filled this bike up about a dozen times since I've had it. I usually go to this same station, most of the time using the same pump. I had to chuckle when a large sploosh of gas got all over the front half of the tank.

These pump stories are exciting! Maybe someday stations will have a bike-specific pump (with a vertical hose set-up) island so you can just swing the hose/nozzle over your tank and fill. A butt massage seat would be nice, too!

...come to think of it he DOES put his hand on my thigh a lot more than you would expect from a station attendant...

Note to self... ALWAYS fill up BEFORE heading to Cambridge.

I do two things at the pump every time. One, remove the nozzle and check to see that the handle is disengaged. Two, point the nozzle at the island to be sure it isn't full of fuel or something that the previous customer didn't stuff in there. (Sand, sugar, etc..)

Only then do I start the pump... and never pump at full speed. Always on the slowest notch. Even the slowest is more spray than we want should things go wrong.

Total actually has a moto point, it has a soft helmet holder, and special cleaning brushes to use in the bike wash
almost forgot, it even has a shorter nozzle for a better fit in our petrol tanks

Next time you go fill up, can you take a picture? This is something that I would love to see here in the states.

Sounds like there are a lot of members who just need to pay for Full Service, and I'm not talking about escorts.
