Just got a 2004 FZ6 and got some questions

i just bought a 2004 FZ6 and i was wondering if there is some lower fairings that i can buy online. i have been looking and cant find anything on it. i will post some pics tomorrow of the bike and the mods.

cool, thanks guys. what are some decent mods that wont break the bank? as of now i have frame sliders, arrow exhaust, bar end sliders, blue neons

i would say that step one is to remove the neons, as they're pretty dumb:tard:.

Past that, it all depends on what you want the bike to be.

they dont look too bad. at first when i was told it had neons i didnt think it was gonna be good and i turned them on and they dont look too bad.....im about to take some pics

WELCOME!!!!!!! I would highly recommend a Fender Eliminator Kit, if you don't already have one, quick, easy, not very expensive, and makes the back end look way better IMO

You sure it's an 04? The heel plates look like 05. Or maybe just modified/drilled.

Edit: I guess it is an 04. The heel plates look to have just drilled. The 05's had removable plates.

It's the blue anodized hunk of aluminum that is bolted above your handle bar clamp. This is a pic of my silver one.

The guy dosen't make them anymore. Very rare item nowadays so hang onto it!

Heel plates are just that...they are the plates on the back of your rearsets (shifter and brake) that shield/support your heel. Your heel plates apear to be stock, but it looks like the previous owner of your FZ6 drilled some nice holes in them. Makes them look a little nicer.

These are pretty sexy helmet locks: http://www.barender.com/

Search around the forum as others have come up with some interesting solutions to helmet locks. One was strapping on some carabeeners under the seat. THen all you have to do is pop the seat off, clip the helemt chin strap on the carabeener, and put the seat back down. Helmet locked.

I personally use a nice little retracting cable lock. Runs about $30, but I can lock my helmet and tank bag to my bike with it. You could use similar ski type cable locks too. Easy to pack around in a pocket.
