Sleep is over-rated! Ride, eat, drink....much more important!

I will be the resident "night owl" whilst on tour....you will find me scratching about the place at all hours!

Just don't wake me up. I'm grumpy when I get woken up. And I get crazy lady hair (hence, the straighteners :))

Take my children first, rather than my bike.

(oh, that's right, I don't have kids.....)
 
Lol! And I was just on my way to pick up the sticker kit for kazza's bike!

Maybe it will have to be superglue on the hair straightener! Actually that probably wouldn't be so funny!

Yes, i function on about 4 hours sleep normally....preferably whilst at work! :eek:

and Kazza, i am very very quiet...whilst skanking about while the rest of the world is sleeping...
 
Well, last night, i actually got some stuff done on my bikes, first time i have been in the shed, since the "skipping incident"...managed to put my "new" mirrors on the touring Mule...the ones i bought off Frank, with the indicators in them...they look super duper! and with the mirror extenders, i can see even more behind me than with the OEM mirrors, as these mirrors are a little wider than the OEM mirrors anyway... :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I will say this, if i leave the OEM headlight, and indicators on this bike, everyone will know when i am indicating... :D

Bike is coming along nicely for touring duties...2 power outlets installed, decent mirrors, new "revised" pannier bars on the way, probably tonight, if my leg feels good enough...

The mighty XJR is now ready for Tassie :rockon:

Here are some pics - both with tank bag/panniers normal and expanded, my new TS seat and, thanks to Humpy :bow: :bow: my new GPS :D
 
Looks bloody great, pretty much the same set up that i have...top box, soft panniers, tank bag, Gps, etc....

Looks like we are all running a similar setup , only difference to mine is im running a soft Motodry tailbag rather then the GIVI box :thumbup:

With all these GPS units on the trip there will be no excuse for getting lost :D

Providing we dont let the women navigate that is :ban:

I actually agree with that comment :eek:

I used to turn maps upsidedown as I can't read them properly. If I was dyslexic, I'd have an excuse. But I'm not :shakehead:

Whatever happens...dont let Jess navigate....she gets lost going to shop for smokes! Even with a GPS! Is reasonably amusing most of the time!

That long! Far out, i have been hanging to get on this trip for what seems like forever already!!!

Picked up a nice compact first aid kit yesterday, just for this trip...has been sealed in the "Tassie Vault" till it's time to go!

Hope we dont need anything in it, other than the panadol, but it pays to be prepared....and, no, i was never a scout!
