So many choices and too many questions. I have looked over the forums for several days and still having a hard time figuring out what manufacturers I can actually use on my 2007. I have a Givi top mount rack (for a V46 box) and side mount v35s. I know this limits what will work on the bike, but cannot get a definitive answer - any help is welcome.

The next item is that whatever I choose just needs to be slightly louder and lower than the stock exhaust. Seems that Scorpions, Ixil, Akrapovic, and maybe a few others fit this bill from what I am reading.

Ok, let the help begin...and thank you in advance.

I have LV's with a V46 topcase.

Hey, Leo Vince owners,

Considering the cat delete pipe, are the slip ons plug and go?
Do they require retuning?

2008 fz6 with LV Carbon slip-on

You "WILL" notice a big difference with not just the awesome deep throaty sound but for sure the increase in hp. Yes, it will need a slight adjustment which you can do in seconds. Your engine will breath alot more freely than with the stock exhaust especially the delete of the highly restricted catalytic converter therefore, a slight idle speed adjustment is a must. Use a permanent marker and mark a visible dot to the top or bottom center of the idle speed adjusting screw for reference purposes only. Simply turn the screw 3/4 turn clockwise to increase idle speed at around 1200+-50 rpm. Normally your oxygen sensor will recognize the changes and there is no need to disconnect the battery but it doesn't hurt to disconnect the battery for few minutes and plug it back. Btw, I got mine LV Carbon at revzilla for $680 all in. Pics will be post soon when I have time:rockon:. Cheers,

Damn how are the Laser Quads not getting more love is it because not many people have them? Sickest looking pipes period. I don't think I will ever get another bike unless it can take them (hmmm maybe an MV Augusta in my future)...

Wheres the fun in buying an exhaust?

Bodge, bash and ba****dise your own :D

If I could afford a carbon top spec exhaust then I probably would get one but I like to think I have a one of a kind exhaust.

Heard a FZ6n in town with two bros and I fell in love with them. Love the deep bassy sound and the volume is very loud.
Saving up for the Two bros for my bike.

And without starting the big flame war, I think loud exhausts can be life saving in SOME situations, for example when there is a traffic jam and you are filtering through its definitely a bonus to have loud pipes so the cagers are more aware before changing lanes.

Just an IMO but I think the laser quads are hideous. But to each their own. I got aluminum two bros cans for the looks and sound. And they were cheaper than I could find scorpions for.

Lol I actually have the quads (they came with my bike) and I love the sound (after removing the db killers that is) but the looks... meh. I think 2 massive pipes looks more aggressive than 4 skinny ones. It's definitely a unique look though.

I voted for the Akrapovic even though I have Leo Vince. I like the Leo's and with the power commander map its crisp and loud.

I just like the Akropovic titanium can I think it has a real classic look. I think that any will be an improvement over stock but I think the laser's are plan ugly.

Anyone with Devil's and PC3, what map do you guys use?

Edit: I've asked Dynojet themselves and they recommended #M410-003 (Leo Vince) or custom tuning.

Cant decide between Leo vince and Scorpion.... Im looking for nice looking as Scorpions... but good, deep and not too much screaming sound as leo vince. Two bros would be perfect combo but they are just tooo expensive.

I just fitted a Mivv Oval today, rode it about a bit and thought it was 'okay'. Until I took the baffles out! It's wonderful, sounds so good and I'm really happy with it. I'll try and make a good vid this weekend and post it here if anyone is interested.

I have been happy with my scorpions. I was in your same position looking for a little more growl, but not the high whine. The scorpions provide that. My other xhoice was acropovich, but never found a good deal on them.

Installed Leo Vince's a few days ago. Cannot ride my bike enough, sound is badass! Took the db killers out right away and absolutely love the sound. Perfect amount of noise for my taste, drones the loudest while putting right around 3000-3500 rpms though, but not enough to really bother me. So glad to be rid of the sewing machine/stock sound.

Stuck between leo vince and scorpion also... Just wondering that maybe people are saying that leo are better because of the decat pipe included? If i was to decat scorpion cans I bet it would be better?

I also presume the build quality of scorpions is better, from seeing my mates and hearing about trouble aligning leo vinces
