Any opinion on this HID conversion kit?

Also, if you need the extra connector the goes in the H4 head lamp plug but is not present, PM me. I'm positive i have new leftovers from when I used to make those universal kits. Those connectors are specific to the headlamp tabs on the H7/H4 lamps.

Any opinion on this HID conversion kit?

If you think about it anything that gives you use of both eyes on your headlight assembly with more light is a plus but the I think the best option for the dual headlights is the projector type. I tried LED headlights on my SV1000s. Both headlamp eyes were designed for the Halogen H4 dual...

It is with a heavy heart, and regret

Lol! I was flying tandem for the first time with one of the Acrotwins (Tim Green) my nephew in law. He was showing me how to kite etc. I was a natural and doing cobras. LOL! We got reamed for not getting signed off at the glider port so I had to pony up for my temp pilot's license and check off...

    Fz6s speedo swap

The plugs show the same color codes on the S1 and S2 instrument clusters. The 3rd plug may be related to ABS and/or immobilizer. The one difference will be the back light on the clusters. The S2 cluster will require a jumper so you can see it at night. An easy fix...

    Question Cam shaft/sprocket positioning

Looking at an exploded view, it looks like there are 2 bolts for each cam sprocket. My guess would be that the 2 bolts clock the sprocket so that either way they are mounted the tooth position is the same. You can probably mount the sprocket 180 degrees either way. The intake and exhaust...

    Dual headlight mod

Yes. There isn't much headroom on the FZ6 charging but there is enough. Of course if your in stop n go a lot, your efficiency is reduced. The FZ6 is designed to be able to keep up with having 2 filaments running at the same time. If you do the headlamp mod you're still using 2 filaments. If you...

    High idle after TB Sync

I just did a little looking and I think maybe it's a pressure sensor. I found it on a parts fiche: #6 attached to what looks like the IAC valve. I'm looking all over the schematic and don't see it. They call it a pressure sensor. It has what looks like an electrical connector. It looks like it...

    Sticky throttle which goes away

The WD-40 Specialist is really great and I believe is a silicone based produce That is great in many different applications. Be sure that your hand throttle is also lubricated. It may also have some dirt and corrosion between it and the handle bar.

    Jumpy when holding speed

In reference to the ECU, there are small delicate pins on that plug. The last pins that are colored, orange with a black tracer and grey with a black tracer at the plug are your coil pack grounds. These ground paths are operated by an internal switching transistor for each coil pack. Be sure the...

    Jumpy when holding speed

Also keep in mind a bad switching transistor in the ECU can cause the same error codes. Check your ECU plug for a good clean connection at the pins. If this seems to follow ambient temperature change, it's likely the coil.

Question Diamond in the rough. 36mi FZ6

Welcome to our great forum! Don't run your engine without a battery. This leaves only your regulator/rectifier between your electronics and the stator output. Check with your local DMV for title requirements. Were there any title requirements when you purchased the bike?

    Sticky throttle which goes away

WD40 is a great product to use initially but it will get gummy as time goes on. Use a different lubricant to follow up with. I use WD40 Specialist as a follow up lube there are many different lubes on the market but Standard WD40 although is a great product for intended applications, will get...

    Gauge cluster replacement

You might get lucky and find a LCD screen. In fact why don't you shout out here on the forum. The worst that could happen would be the sound of crickets. Or a deluge of frogs from the sky.... Yeah that can happen....

    Gauge cluster replacement

The S2 will also work fine. The only difference is how the back light works. If you get the S2 we've posted it on the forum on how to resolve the back light issue. Also you can use the FZ1 instrument cluster. The FZ1 cluster will just have a lower red line on the tach.
