I think $3500 seems like a fair price provided it is in excellent shape and has not been dropped. It seems like here in Michigan bikes for whatever reason go for more than the Blue Book value, especially at a dealer. And in another month it will be very hard to find a nice bike for a good price...

Same here. Just recently bought my FZ6 (which I absolutely love by the way!) but already want to upgrade to the 9. I have to keep telling myself to wait a couple of years until I can find a nice used one.

That's the quote I remember as well which is why they discontinued the FZ8, at least here in the States. Not sure about across the pond. I have never gotten anything except compliments about my bike and already have a few people lined up wanting to buy it when I finally upgrade to the FZ9.
