Has anyone tried taking the bars off, changing them left to right (upside down)?
Instead of up and back, they would be down and back.
I'm thinking about trying this, but wonder if the tank would interfere with the bars?
Comments, suggestions?

It looks like you have the pegs as far back and as high as they would go.
Is that correct?
If so, is there really that much of a difference in the riding position and do you notice any change in the way the bike handles with the different foot positioning?

I feel for ya Chris, loss of a bike to pay the fine sucks.
Up here in Ontario, the O.P.P. cops have a plane watching out for us, and if we are doing 50kmph (31 mph) over the limit, we lose the bike for 7 days, have to pay for towing and storage for said 7 days, lose our licence for 7 days, and...
Why not try for something better? A friend of mine in Toronto answered an ad on Kijiji and this is the result...

I have the same set-up, and yes the instructions are hard to understand. I also have rather large hands so I had some trouble getting some of the hardware into some of the smaller places.
As for the turn signal wiring, I removed the reflecter from between the signals, enlarged the bolt hole...
