Re: Uk Meet 11th Oct 2008
Hi Cloggy,
Thanks for the PM to remind me.
I've now comitted to some charity work on Saurtday the 4th and Saturday the 11th for Asthma UK. So I'm afraid the first two weekends in October are no longer an option for me :-(
I will however be around for the 18/19...
Re: Uk Meet 11th Oct 2008
Doorag - At the moment I'm free any of those dates
Cloggy - Not my company then but Agilent have some cool lookin offices if they're the ones I'm thinking of.
Let us know the date of your course. If it fits with the big UK meet then great, we can head to wherever...
I have the '05' bike too... I've not dropped mine yet, but I have managed to put some similar marks on my rear indicators.
Every night I wheel my bike backwards into a (push)bike shed outside my flat. The bike shed has big curved metal rails bolted to the floor, so I tend to lock my bike up...
Re: Uk Meet 11th Oct 2008
Hey Cloggy,
Which training course are you attending, and who with? It might actually be my company you are training with!
I live really close to Reading and would be around that weekend, so would be happy to meet up with you and Nelly (plus anyone else who...
Thanks for the advice everyone, am going to pop to the guitar shop tomorrow and pick up a soft case with straps... seems to be the best way.
I play an acoustic so putting some clothes in the guitar is a great idea!
Will be going about 150 miles on the first leg, 150 back home for a day...
Hey,
I'm looking for some advice... Has anyone every carried a guitar on their bike please? How did you do it?
I need to take one with me on a road trip, but I still need to have room for a weeks worth of clothes too.
Any ideas?
Dave
Hey everyone,
Am thinking about taking a 3/4 drill to mine too but just wanted to check if drilling would have an negative effect on fuel consumption or performance? Or is the only change to the sound?

Sounds cool... Warwickshire isn't too far away. Hampshire are fully booked so can't do one until next year now :(
Do you know if you have to live in Warwickshire to do the BikeSafe with them? Thames Valley for example only let you on if you are within 40miles of Milton Keynes.
I just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone who replied and that I’ve taken a lot of the advice on board:
Yukon Alex: Despite there only being a very short distance between me and the Aston, I was slightly off centre in my lane so had given myself a bit of a head start. I don’t rock by...
Wow... some of the Forum posts on http://www.robertdunlopracing.co.uk/ will really choke you up.
Seems he was a hero to a lot of people. Massive shame. RIP Robert.
Hey everyone,
I’ll say sorry upfront, because I think this is going to be a kind of long one! I also apologies for any language which may cause offense. I’m possibly going to use the F word a few times. Basically I’m wondering how many riders here have had a ‘near miss’ and how it made you...
Hey Phil,
Ta very much. I hadn't really thought about a BikeSafe course, but then I received my Sticker from Mark today and he'd popped in a few leaflets in too, one of them about BikeSafe. You post your review on the same day, I'm thinking that it's a sign to book myself on!
I'm still...
Hello all...
Firstly thanks so much for all the warm welcomes... much appreciated.
Doorag - I'd consider Richmond as just down the road, I used to work near there in Bedfont Lakes. I now work in Slough though, which is nowhere near as nice :-(.
Swerve - Fancy hosting a small SE meet...
