Hi all,
My name is Damon, from Illinois. I'm a new member looking to learn and share experiences with other riders on the forum. My primary ride is a 2009 FZ6, has about 16,300 miles but only 6k of those are from me. Anyway, the riding season is finally among us here in the Midwest and I...
Anyone want to meet up and ride when it starts getting warm? This will be my second season and I am usually a solo-riding commuter, but I'd like to start getting in to some group riding this season. Feel free to PM if you're interested.
It's that time of year where some have the bike stored and will do the mods while the riding season is less than optimal.
Here are some ideas to give inspiration and at least put a smile on your face.
Enjoy!

During this morning's 60 mile rural ride I had a deer cross in front of me. It's happened before, but first of the season.
Not too close, but close enough to perk up and slow. I nearly rolled back on, but then remembered: where there's one, there's often more. No more Bambis fortunately...
I've been putting off getting a helmet cam for a long time. With a trip to Maine coming up next month thinking maybe now is the time.
I don't have lots to spend and would consider getting an entry level one now and upgrading in a season or 2
What are you guys all using? recommendations...
Well... after riding one last season I finally did it.
Picked up a 2014 Triumph Street Triple R yesterday.
The bike only has 2,600 miles on, came with a sweet SC Project exhaust and the Triumph Quickshifter! I have a feeling the FZ6 might collect some dust this season.
Well, it's snowing here in Chicagoland. I guess our season is officially over. Unless you have heated gear. I'm going to wrap my baby up in the garage and wait until next spring.
And you peeps who live year round in warm climates don't have to rub it in!! Blah We have "seasons" BlahBlah
A new bike season is starting for many of us, and i'd like to remind everyone that it's a new bike season for cagers as well. They are not used to seeing bikes in traffic yet, so take care and stay safe!
I think I may have posted this vid before, but if I haven't - here is a reminder to take...
I bought my 2006 FZ6 used with around 9k miles in 2013. I ran it on a dyno once close to the end of the season at around 14k. To see what my bike was putting out, its completely stock and nothing has been replaced on it.
In 2014 I installed a K&N air filter and rode it till the end of...
Its a 2006 with 19k on it, purchased with 12k this April- runs perfectly. I'm thinking:
-Plugs (NGK (3521) CR9EIX Iridium)
-Air filter (I believe it has a K&N but I'd like to go stock)
-Brake fluid flush, replace caliper seals
-SS brake hoses
-Coolant flush
-Buy the tool for TB sync and...
Any tips when it comes to removing the front sprocket cover? I would like to give it a good cleaning over the winter season and was hoping there is an easy way to remove cover.
Thank you!
Hey guys,
It was a great 1st season of riding for me, hopefully a month more before I have to put it in a garage.
I currently don't have a garage at my location so use a standard cover.
My room mates and I are going to rent out a garage but want to know the proper steps in winterizing...
I just could not help myself this week. A bunch of sun and temps in the upper 40's. Ski season is coming to an early end but I think I can deal with it. I don't even know what I'm doing here right now. I should be out riding!
